Responsible Gaming
Version 2026-11-03 · Effective November 3, 2026 · [Coconuts LLC]
The short version
- Betting should be entertainment, never a way to make money or fix money problems. You can lose.
- Free, confidential help 24/7: call or text 1-800-GAMBLER.
- Coconuts has two tools in Settings: a cool-off (24 hours, 7 days or 30 days) that hides every card, and self-exclusion (6 months or longer) that also cancels your subscription and can't be undone early.
Warning signs
- Betting more than you planned, or more than you can afford to lose.
- Chasing losses: betting again to win back what you lost.
- Borrowing money, using bill money, or hiding betting from people close to you.
- Feeling restless, anxious or irritable when you try to cut back.
- Betting to escape stress, boredom or other problems.
- Missing work, school or family time because of betting.
If any of these sound familiar, it's a good time to take a break and talk to someone.

Coconuts tools
Cool-off. In Settings, choose 24 hours, 7 days or 30 days. Every card, alert and the feed are hidden until it ends. You can extend a cool-off but not shorten it.
Self-exclusion. In Settings, choose 6 months, 1 year or 5 years and type EXCLUDE. Your subscription is cancelled immediately (no further charges), alerts stop, and every card is hidden until the period ends. It can't be undone early, and it still applies if you delete your account and sign up again.
These tools only affect Coconuts. To stop betting, also exclude yourself at your sportsbooks (below).
Self-exclude at your sportsbooks
- At each book: every licensed US sportsbook app has "Responsible Gaming" settings for deposit limits, wager limits, time limits, cool-offs and self-exclusion, usually under Account → Responsible Gaming. You can also ask their support to close or exclude your account.
- Statewide programs: most legal-betting states run a self-exclusion list that covers every licensed operator in the state (for example the Illinois Gaming Board's self-exclusion program, New Jersey's DGE program and Pennsylvania's PGCB program). Search "[your state] gaming self-exclusion" or ask 1-800-GAMBLER.
- Bank tools: many banks and card issuers can block gambling transactions. Blocking software such as Gamban or BetBlocker can block betting sites and apps on your devices.
Healthy habits
- Set a budget you can afford to lose, and a time limit, before you start.
- Never bet with money meant for bills, rent or debt.
- Take breaks. Don't bet when you're upset, tired or drinking.
- A better price doesn't make a bet a sure thing. Any single bet can lose.
